Aluminium Chequer Plate: Although this is not a particularly common finish for the garage floor, aluminium chequer plate flooring can be a great hi-tech looking solution if used correctly. As it comes in sheets instead of flooring tiles it is fixed to a subfloor of marine plywood / sealed mdf or applied onto a self-leveling PVA adhesive. As aluminium chequer plate flooring is made from a stronger and more durable flooring material it can look exceptionally good as a whole floor within a workshop or as a focal floor strip in the middle of the garage
Some people are very meticulous with their garages. There are individuals who would like nothing less than perfection for their garage. This is especially true for car lovers, hobbyists, and everybody else who spends most of their time inside the garage. Other people believe that their garage should be as attractive as the car thats housed in there. But however you use your garage, there is one way to make it look good and valuable - through your right choice of a garage floor cover.
You can now begin to apply your new garage floor paint once you have properly cleaned your flooring. You may have to mix some coating solutions together depending on the paint or coat you choose to apply to your garage flooring. Once the mix is ready, apply the paint or coat thoroughly onto your floor with a small bristle shop brush or floor painting type brush. If you want to, you can even add paint chips to your coat or paint for a more unique and outgoing paint job. You just sprinkle the chips around the floor or in the locations you want them. Once you do this, repeat the paint or coat application to make sure your floor is completely covered.
Porcelain Floor Tiles: Porcelain Floor Tiles are common in automotive workshops and showrooms as they are very hard wearing. These high quality and contemporary tiles are normally used for professional automotive workshops. However as porcelain tiles are available with raised patterns and have improved anti-slip properties over normal tiles when wet, they are an ideal flooring solution for home garages. Though slightly more expensive than other options, porcelain floor tiles provide an extremely good investment as they last a long time and are easy to keep clean.
