If you spend a lot of time in your garage, your garage door will be open very often. It is very likely that everyone who passes by will see your garage and whats inside it. Thats why you want to make a change and make your garage look much better. The first thing which will drastically change the look of your garage is a garage floor coating. If you install a coating on your garage floor, this will have many advantages. The fact that it makes it look better isnt the only good thing about garage floor coatings.
PVC Interlocking Floor Tiles: Interlocking PVC flooring tiles form a great thermal, noise and dust barrier, so are the prefect choice if you are using your garage as a multi-use room such as a garage gym or play room. They are also extremely durable floor tile and so can cope with the every day wear and tear if you are looking to transform your garage into a home workshop. Although not waterproof like the porcelain floor tileor the epoxy flooring, they are very easy to separate, wipe under and re-attach should you spill anything onto the floor
In each of the examples above it is important to know the width and length of your garage. Many of the garage floors available come in various patterns and are generally rolled out from the back of the garage to the front. By doing this, the seem will run along the length of the garage. To determine the width of the rolls you will need you simply take the width of your garage and divide it by the various widths of flooring available. The most common widths of rolled garage flooring are 7.5, 8, 9 and 10. If your garage is 22 wide then the best choice would be 3 rolls of the 7.5 width flooring. That would give you the least amount of waste when you install your floor. Three rolls at 7.5 wide would cover an area 22.5 wide providing only 6 inches of waste.
At the end of the day, theres only two major varieties of garage tiles: theyre either made of rubber, or theyre not. If you tend to work in your garage, then rubber tiles are the way to go. Youll pay more up front, but the additional resistance to damage will make it worthwhile. You might even save money on tools that would have otherwise been damaged by dropping on a harder surface. This is why painted garage floors so often have a layer of rubber garage floor mats as well. If it seems like a waste of money, wait until you drop a tool and put a big crack or dent in your nice, pretty floor.
